Cyanotype is an alternative photographic printing technique known for its distinctive deep blue tones. First developed in 1842 by Sir John Herschel, cyanotypes were widely used as a quick and inexpensive method of reproduction, particularly for architectural and technical drawings. This led to the term “blueprint”.

Magda will guide you through a range of advanced cyanotype techniques, materials and approaches, including:

- Experimenting with different paper stocks, including Bergger COT and Washi tissue papers

- Printing on alternative materials and surfaces (like textile or wood)
